Hi. I’m new, coming from QA.Someone mentioned to me today that I cannot use my macros from Q&A. Are they pretty simple to build in Sesame?  I have not done the migration of my database yet. Thanks.

As someone who switched from Q&A 4.0 for Dos to Sesame, the macros were used for all kinds of tasks.

When I tried to use macros, I wasn't getting the results I needed and it is generally discouraged.  For the most part,  I have able to use the program functions combined with batch files to do of the same things.  It's a work in progress.

The problem with macros is that they work in a windows environment which means mouse movement and clicks.  If you playback a macro, it may not yield the same results as when you record it.  In Q&A, it's all keystrokes which can be recorded live or typed up in an ASCII file.
