I have made a word merge document that I can print to a PDF file. But now I want to print it to a RTF file. Which programming do I require?

Thanks

Gerard

Hello Gerard,
Which Word Merge method do you use?
*Merge File Print (page 329 in the User Guide)
*Merging via Data Export (page 331 in the User Guide)
*Word Merge (page 334 in the User Guide)

I'm open for suggestions, this is the case:

We do recruitment of people. In Q&A I have a database with their data except their resume.
I merge it to Actwin (also Symantec) where we add their resume (which they send as attachment by email). Then we make the layout nicer with bold, underlined, tabs etc. and save it as a PDF file.

Maybe you know a timesaving better way of working:
1. Is it possible to import the data from the form they fill out on the internet directly into Sesame (also the resume)? That's my wish for Christmas.
2. Then we come back to my original question. How can I merge the data from Sesame into a document which we can change. If I export it to a PDF file and open it in Acrobat I can only look at it and print or email it, I can not change or add text.

Looking forward to solutions to make my life easier.

Gerard

Hello Gerard,

To answer your first question, it is possible to "pull in" the data from you website's form (as long as the form generates a comma delimited text file).

To answer your second question, I would recommend using the Merge File Print (page 329 of the User Guide) command to generate your RTF files with the data you have imported from your online form's text file.
