Static Picture problem

I add a static picture with the label D:\sesame2\logo\logo.jpg.
When I hit the ädd element button Sesame Designer 2.0.6 shuts down all together.
What's the problem?

I read (somewhere) that if a jpg doesn't work, you should use a bmp file. I did and it solved the problem, but I still would like to know why it didn't work.
I sent the jpg to Lantica technical support

Occasionally a .jpg image may be formatted in a way that cannot be read by Sesame. This is usually a result of image viewing/editing packages creating files slightly different from one another. An image that says it is a .jpg may not always be saved in one of the supported variations of the .jpg format.
