% to decimal

Can someone point me in the right direction to convert a % to a decimal, not having much luck to date.
I have an LE of Tax Rate shown as a % eg: 7.25% which needs to convert to decimal, 0.0725, to multiply the Subtotal to obtain the amount of Tax. I cannot get the decimal point to move the necessary 2 spaces to the left for the calculations. Previously in Q&A we just used the lookup table but we now need the conversion done in the programming.
Thanks becky

Divide by 100.

7.25 / 100 = .0725
