Database fails to open after reconcile

I made a change to a .dsr then reconciled.  I now get the following error when I try to open the database:

Database C:\Sesame2\Data\Repair Authorization.db failed to open.
Error: failure while loading application: C:\Sesame2\Data\Repair Authorization.db.

When I try to reconcile again, I get the following error.

Failure while loading application: C:\Sesame2\Data\Repair Authorization.db for reconcile.

I've tried unlocking the files (which I have to do periodically) but that doesn't fix the problem.  Can this be repaired?  I really need to get this working.  What do you think happened?

What version of Sesame/Designer are you running?
Do you run in client-server mode?
Are the files currently set to read-only by the operating system?
What percentage do your files load to before you receive the warning?

It is possible that a anti-virus or backup utility was actively accessing your DB or DAT file when you attempted to reconcile. When a file is being scanned or backed up by a utility program, the operating system often sets the file that is being "used" to read-only. This status can result in the inability to open a file or reconcile to it.

To check the status of the operating system's read-only flag, follow the steps below:

1) Navigate to 'C:/Sesame2/Data' or C:/Sesame/Data on the machine where your data files are stored.
2) Right click on your DB file and select Properties
3) Go to the 'General' tab in the properties window
4) Ensure that the option for 'Read-Only' is not checked in the 'Attributes' section
5) Click 'Apply' then 'OK' to close the window

** Repeat these steps for the DAT file

-Version 2.5.1

-Yes

-No

What percentage do your files load to before you receive the warning?

-I get the warning right away.

-This has not been a problem in the past but I have a fairly new backup program so this is a possibility.

Hello Electric_Guy,

Technical Support is wrapping up for the day and has not heard from you. If you send your DB, DAT, DSR and DDT files that will not open to support@lantica.com tonight, we will take a look at them for you first thing tomorrow morning (9:00 AM EST).
