country settingCountry settings

My Windows country settings in Windows control panel are: Dutch (Netherlands). This makes numbers and money elements in Sesame behave strangly: 1 becomes 1000 or 100,00. Changing them with custom settings doesn't help, or am I missing something.
Changing Windows country setting to: Englisch (USA) solves the problem but makes other programs like spreadsheets, behave strangly.
What could be the solution?

Thanks

Gerard

Hello Gerard,

This issue was caused by the use of ","s and "."s in the element's Custom Formatting in the opposite way they are used in the system settings. For example using a comma as a thousands separator in the Custom Formatting, but using a period as a thousands separator in the System Settings.

Go ahead and reset your regional settings to Netherlands.

To correct this issue, you will need to go into Sesame Designer and open your application's design file. Once you have your application open in Designer, you can reset your number elements to display using the default system settings.

How to set your elements to use the system default formatting:
Step 1: Select the form you would like to redesign.
Step 2: Once the form loads in design mode, left click on the element you would like to change the display format of.
Step 3: Select the 'Format' tab on the Property Editor on the left side of your screen.
Step 4: Click on the drop-down box labeled 'Display Format' and select 'System Settings' from the list.
Step 5: Repeat for any other number elements that display incorrectly.
Step 6: Save your design changes and reconcile the changes to your database.

If you need more assistance with this, please contact Technical Support.
