I'm glad. I was hoping that this might be an answer for those people having trouble getting Q&A running on some of the newer computers and operating systems. From what the web page says, it may be possible to run FreeDos on Linux, and from what you are saying, that would allow Q&A to run on in a window on X11 on Linux.

Some time ago I got Q&A running on Linux via emulation of Windows emulating DOS. It worked so so. There were some odd quirks.

I tested the FreeDos in machine: 
Laptop celeron M 1,5 Mhz 
Pentiun III - 500 Mhz 
Pentiun IV - 1,6 Mhz 
Making Boot and executing of CD-ROM, I`m Not  installed in the HD.

It actually makes a lot of sense in that it is a standalone OS, as opposed to prenteding to be a DOS computer. Should help stop MSWin(x) from interfering.
