I notice that when I post a message to the forum, I'm listed as "member" while I've seen some others listed as "Lanticans Member."

Can someone please tell me what a "Lanticans Member" is and how I can become one, should I so desire?

Thanks!

Hello Spencer
I think you will find that Lanticans Menbers are either Lantica Directors or programmers and that members as ourselves are mere mortals!!  If not then someone will correct this.

That is correct - except the mortality part:

immortals - those that live forever
mere mortals - those that live for a while
lanticans - those that "need to get a life" in the first place

But, yes, Lanticans are either board members of the company or employees of Lantica Software LLC. Of the Lanticans that frequently post:

"The Cow" - That's me (Mark Lasersohn). I'm lead programmer on Sesame.
Erika - She's head of R&D for Lantica. My boss.
"Ray the Reaper" - Ray works for Lantica in Tech Support. In his spare time he also does a fair chunk of the testing and programming.
Alec - Head of Quality Assurance for Lantica. Ray's boss.
Andreas - Only posts occasionally. The lead on Q&A 5.0. The author of the SBasic compiler in Sesame.

There are a bunch of other Lanticans, but they don't post much.

Ahhhhh --

Thanks Mark for the definitive answer.

But, you haven't disuaded me (lol); I still want to become a Lantican's member!

Who would be the best person to communicate with (privately) about this?

And to think, I didn't mention the hours.

There are two ways to become a Lantican. You can buy your way in by investing in the company, or you can get hired as an employee. The best person to talk to about this would be Bill Halpern.
