Can you make a multi-line heading in a report like:

                          Your Company
                          Your Address
                          Your City,State,Zip
                          Phone Number

  Without using printstring ?     ???

Yes, you can use programming, like making a derived column in Q&A. Or, in 1.0.5, you can create multiline headers and footers.

I'll study up derived columns, might be better to put project on back burner and wait on 1.0.5.   Grin

                                                   Thanks Hammer

If you are after line breaks in static text appearing in a column heading, you can insert a <BR> where-ever you want the line to break:

Your Company<BR>Your Address<BR>Your City,State,Zip<BR>Phone Number

will produce:

Your Company
Your Address
Your City,State,Zip
Phone Number

Cheesy Cheesy

That's what I was looking for Mark, Thanks !!

That  brings me to two more questions.

1. Do @xlookup work in reports?

2. How Do I get a signature line to print at the bottom of the report?

So long as you are not in preview mode.

Make an additional view with several spacers and then a static text with the appropropriate content. Or make an additional view with a freeform report in it.

When doing a @xlookup in a report do you refer to the elements in the report or the underlaying file ?

Depends what you mean... But in general, you refer to form elements in the external database.

The forms are all in my application, the form I'm making the report for is called "invin" the form I'm wanting to perform the @xlookup on is "Ponum" the element name in the ponum form to match is "LE4" bound to "!Ponumber";  the element in Invin to match is "PurchaseOrderNum" the element to return is "LE5" Or "!Vendorname" the @xlookup I'm using is:
LE154 = @Xlookup(@Fn,"PurchaseOrderNum","Ponum!LE4","Ponum!LE5").  I've tried this twice my report gets corrupted alot of the elements turn black, and the report will print but its looks like its printing the "Source Code" along with what I asked for. The report works fine until I try the @xlookup, then I have to delete it and start all over.  I'm confused on how to call the @xlookup from a report, you have elements in the report such as LE4 Bound to a element in the underlaying form, seems like you'd call it from the element in the report, then again the report is working from the underlaying form ?If I'm confused I must be confusing Sesame ??
