Word Merge Documents

I am trying to set up a mail merge via Word. Everything works just fine except that Word does not open after I press my "Merge" button. I have to leave Sesame open Word and go to the Sesame Doc to find the retrieved records for print. I guess there is something wrong with my word.bat file.
I am using Windows ME and Word 97.
The word.bat I have is:
c:
cd\program files\microsoft office\office
winword.exe %1
Exit

Is there something wrong with this? I get a message that states:
Too many parameters - files\MSOffice\Office\WINWORD.EXE

I think the problem may be the "space" character in your path.

Add double quotes like this:

c:
cd "c:\program files\microsoft office\office"
winword.exe %1
Exit

Hey Bob,
Copied and pasted your parameter, but the same effect. My retrieved records opened in the Word merged  document but not automatically. I had to go through Word first to retrieve the document.
