importing Money values

When importing  from a text file into a Money field, the numbers following the decimal place are replaced by zeros.  I have set the decimal places to 2, but if the value in the file is $100.99, after the import it is $100.00.

Also, why isn't money a datatype when programming in SBasic if it's a datatype for the form elements?
