I have a report that lists the value of parts shipped.  The element format in the form "money" and in the report there is a dollar sign before the number.

I copy and paste the info from the HTML to excel in order to manipulate the data into various forms, however, excel treats the numbers preceded by the $ as general and I'm not able to do any calculations on these numbers.

Is there a way to change the format of the element data to  number rather than money?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

HI Paul,

You can change the display format of the element in the report to not display the $ by setting the display format to Custom.

Ray,

I got the info in excel without the $.  I also got it to eliminate the comma within the dollar amount.  However, excel won't treat it as a number and it won't allow me to convert it to a number.  Any ideas why?

Hi Paul,

That doesn't make any sense to me. What version of Excel? Are you opening the HTML file in Excel or just using Copy/Paste?
