[BRF] Table view subform problems

Using Sesame 2.0.2, table-view subform navigation is considerably different than the navigation was in 1.1.5.  In 2.x, the first element is blacked out, and seems to always require one or more keystrokes or mouse clicks to get a cursor in position in order to enter data. Clicking F-10 appears to create a new "line", or subrecord, but it does not put the cursor in position in the first element, nor does the down arrow key, enter key, or any other keystroke.  It seems that only a mouse click or two in the first element of the new subrecord will put the cursor in it.

In order to maintain a decent workflow, I would like to be able to click F-10 and get a new subrecord with the cursor in position, as occurred in 1.1.5. It would also be nice to eliminate the blackout of the elements entirely.  Can this be done?

Thank you for letting us know about this. It has been written up and handed to development.

I've just tried this here with a couple of applications and I can hit F10 to create a new subrecord and just start typing a word and that word is inserted into the first cell of the new record. If your application behaves differently than the sample Countries one when it comes to the Subform      The first element should appear as white text on a black background to show that it has focus, similar to how 1.X had a gray background with black text. Is this not what is happening for you?

Also in 2.X you can just start typing when the black highlight is on a cell and it will insert what you are typing and puts you into the edit mode of that Cell. The difference as far as I can see between 1.X and 2.X is that in 1.X when you typed it was inserted at the beginning but in 2.X when you type the text is inserted after what is already there. So for example if you had the word "cat" in an Table Cell. In 1.X if you typed an 's' you would get "scat", in 2.x if you typed an S you would get "cats"., let us know and send it in to Support@lantica.com so that we can have a look at it.
