Renaming a Database

I created a new database and must have missed a step because the form is named, but the database is named NewDataBase.  I cannot figure out how to rename it.  The program application tab only renames the form.  Anybody know what to do?

There are two places where you can rename the database:
1. The Form Design.
2. The Field Manager.

Method 1: From the Form Design
1. Open your Form in Design Mode.
2. In the Property Editor control panel, select the Other tab.
3. From the Options For dropdown at the top of the tab, select Database.
4. Enter the name you want in the Name box and click the Set button (with the arrow) next to the Name box.
5. Save the layout.

For further info and screenshots, see page 109 in the Sesame 1.1 User Guide.

Method 2: The Field Manager
1. Open your Application in SDesigner.
2. From the Design Menu, choose Manage A Database/NewDatabase/Manage Fields. The Field Manager will open.
3. From the Action dropdown, choose Rename Database.
4. Enter the name you want in the New Name box.
5. Click the Add Transaction to Batch button.
6. Click the Run Batch button at the bottom of the Field Manager.
7. When it finishes, close the Field Manager. The Design Menu should show the name change.

For further info and screenshots, see page 137-139 in the Sesame 1.1 User Guide.

Let us know if you need any other info!  Smiley
