Hi everyone

For many of you who know TJ Shuflin and his wife Wanda (a fellow Q&A widow and veteran of several Q&A bashes), I just wanted to let you know that I have been in touch with him recently.

He lives near Alexandria in Louisiana and had a close encounter with Hurricane Rita.

I received this today sent from his place of work :

<<We came through better than some.  We have some large limbs down, and some trees around us are down, but nothing hit the house.  We lost electricity about 11am on Saturday and don't have it back yet. Estimates are 5-7 days or longer to get most people restored... hopefully we'll be in one of the earlier groups.  It is very hot & humid, so not very comfortable.  I have a small electric generator, keeping the refrigerator and freezer going.  >>

It was a relief to know they came through OK.
