Sesame Training Classes Available

Print Post Print Post
The first set of Sesame Training Classes have been scheduled and are available for registration. Based on the survey results, we're starting with the SBasic programming classes. In order to keep the classes small, there are only 15 slots available for each class, so if you plan to register you should do so early in order make sure you reserve your seat. Your credit card will not actually be charged until three weeks before the class date.

Information on the Training Center is available at:

Hammer,

Are there any plans in the making for online classes?

Getting away to attend a class is not always convient, however the desire to learn more still exists.

For the moment, I'm doing live training at my facility. There may be other options available in the future, offered by myself or by others.

Just a reminder:

The first training classes on Jun 3-5 are only two weeks away.

Programming Sesame With SBasic - Beginner-Intermediate
Jun 3, 2005
Programming Sesame With SBasic - Intermediate-Advanced
Jun 4 and 5, 2005

If you are planning on attending either of these, you should register soon, as both classes are almost full.

Looking forward to the class 5/3. Will there be a list of things we should or could bring? Examples: disks with applications we already have partially written, disks to bring anything we write while we are there (I suppose I should have started by asking if those of us without laptops will have a computer to use while there? If not, the other questions were rather pointless Grin)

Thanx
Natalie

Natalie,

You are registered for a seminar class, so you won't be building anything. You indicated that you were not bringing a laptop, so a workstation will be provided for you. At the end of the class, you will be given a 32MB USB key drive containing all the course materials including the course book in electronic format and demo applications used during the seminar to take home. You will also be given a printed course book.

I do recommend that you bring your Programming Guide.  Other than that, you shouldn't need to bring anything.

Oooo ... what sort of subjects are being covered in the Sesame working with External programs course?  That sounds *very* interesting ...

I found the beginning class VERY useful.  It got me from staring blankly at my programming guide to a workplan that should have Q&A replaced and improving my office operations within 3-6 months.

Hats off to the wonderful people at Hammer Data!

This class is about using Sesame data in external applications like Word, Wordperfect, Excel, Quickbooks, web apps, etc. It is also about reading in data provided by external applications using Import and File I/O.
