Saved Retrieve Specs

I am trying to save a retrieve spec that includes criteria for both the main form and the subform. The problem is that the subform criteria doesn't stick.

Should the subform criteria save along with the main form spec, or do I need to use a programmed retrieve spec that references the two elements I want to include in the search?

If programmed retrieves is the answer, how do I reference the subfield? I've tried a few different expressions, but without results.

A new issue has surfaced. When I search with a programmed spec, Sesame freaks out. All the thin gray and thin black lines that separate the window panes and subfields become thick black lines. And the menu tree doesn't refresh, each time I F10 to the next record, a new "Current Sort Pass" progress window draws over part of it and remains there.

This was happening consistantly even after closing Sesame and reopening it. Now that I have written this out, it suddenly seems to be doing okay. ???  I'll let you know if it starts doing it again.

Have you seen anything like this?

It looks like the saved criteria is not loading properly into a table subform. We'll take care of it.

As to your programmed spec, is it any programmed spec? Or a particular program under particular circumstances?

It was happening with any simple spec like this for example: {Installed = ""}

I tried changing the element being referenced and tried changing which element I placed it in -- same results. In the middle of composing my previous posting here, I wanted to verify the specifics, but then I couldn't reproduce the problem. I have tried again this morning to reproduce the problem, but it just keeps working fine.

Regarding programmed retrieves, how would I reference a subfield? I tried a few things without success.

You wouldn't. We fixed the bug this morning, so you'll be able to load a saved retrieve into a table subform in the next release.

What if someone did need to use programmed retrieves that included main form and subform elements?

Someone could put a program in the main form and another program in the subform.
