Static Picture in Report

I'm having trouble with attaching a static picture element into my report. When I created the report I added a Static Picture Element  (SPE) and in the descriptor I put the path to the picture that I want as my logo, I can't make it appear. The rest of the report is great. In designer when adding the element where does the path go? I reviewed the manuals and still am not sure. HELP MEEEE PLEASE!  ???

Bobscott, where are you when I need you ?

The full path and image name for the static picture goes into the Label for the element.  This information was mistakenly not included in the manuals.

From the FAQ, http://www.lantica.com/Support/KBase/sesame_faq.html#62:

How do I add an image to my form that always stays the same?
In Sdesigner, an image that always stays the same is called a "Static Picture". It is added to the form using the Layout Element Adder. From the Select Element Type pulldown menu, select "Static Picture". Fill in the Label text box for the Static Picture with the full path to that image file. Example:

Label: C:\MyPictures\MyCompanyLogos\logo_12.bmp

Then press the Add Element to Form button. After the Static Picture has been added, it can be moved or resized.

Actually, for a Report the static image must be in the Image Path for the application, and the path to the static image (in the Label) must be relative to the Image Path for the application.

Sorry for the inconsistency on this.  Embarrassed

Oops, I missed reports vs. forms, but never noted the distinction.  Thanks for pointing that out.

Hammer, I must not have taken all of my medication this morning so I'm not quite following the path you are suggesting.  You talk about the image path to the application, I thought that was defaulted to c:\sesame\pics\*.bmp. Or am I missing something? Embarrassed

That path is user definable.

Open your application,  Select File, Application Property Manager.  There is a field named "Image Path" that can be used to define where the image files will be located.  The default is blank which defaults to the Sesame CWD folder.

If you check the Gems application, you will see that "Pics" has  already been set there.  But each application can have its own default folder for images.
