Another programming question

How do I change the format of a layout element?  I have a field that is formated as a text field, but I want to change it to a number field.  When I go to the format tab on the property editor, it doesn't give me a choice to change it to a number field.

I believe you have to delete the field and recreate it bound to a number type

Goto Manage Database ->  Manage Field -> Change Field Type ->  Choose Field  ->  Change Field Type
