How do I recover a corrupted database?

Sesame stopped responding in the middle of a search(happens from time to time) and I had to reboot the computer.  Now, when I attempt to open the last database, I get "failed to open."  I assume there is a recovery utility as with Q&A, but can not find any information anywhere.

There is utility in the C:\Sesame\Utilities\Lantica\Sunlock.exe

The syntax is

Sunlock.exe c:\sesame\data\Your.db

I take that your application is in c:\sesame\data\

jchaparro,

You can also click file on the sesame menu bar
Server administration
Enter username and password
The default is ADMIN and Hello
Select database

This is another way to unlock the database from were you recieve the error message.

Anyone have suggestions for things to try when sunlock doesn't work?  Just reconconciled a design I've been working on all weekend and find it can't be opened in Sesame runtime.  Tried Sunlock both from a DOS prompt and Server Administration.  Didn't get error messages in either place but Sesame still hangs and quits responding when I try to load this db only.  I can open earlier versions I saved under different names but I hate to lose a weekend of work.

Thanks for any ideas!

Bobbi,

If you save as a new application does it run ?

or

Have you tried opening the reconciled db from Sdesigner, save as a different name dsr then save as new application. It should then be the latest programming and the data from the older database.

Keep us posted.
