How do you stop Word 2000 from virus checking every single document it opens? Angry
Really slows things down, and I already have a virus checker in the background

You need to review the HELP files in MS Word 2000 and decide what level of security you want.  Open MS Word, go to HELP, and type in Virus.  There's numerous files there with info.  Sounds like you might have your security set to HIGH, and would prefer it on Medium or Low...  Hope this helps!
