Too many zeros in number fields

I migrated my Q&A database to Sesame successfully.  However, when I do a search/update in Database Manager, a field, Commission Percentage, has too many zeros.  I tried to fix this in Designer.  I made a restriction,?.??,for that field, hoping that this would reduce the number of characters to three.  Now when I do search/update, I receive the following message: "Warning, the following elements do not meet restrictions. Do you want to save this record and continue?"  Please help!

1) Go back into Designer and remove the restriction specs you added.

2) While the layout elements are still selected, click on the FORMAT tab under PROPERTY EDITOR on the left side of the screen.

3) Set the DISPLAY FORMAT drop down list to CUSTOM FORMAT.

4) From here you can use the DECIMAL PLACES drop down list to select the value you need.

5) Don't forget to save the changes before exiting.
