???We have purchase four user liceinces for four networked PC's. They all connect to our server. In the instructions for installation the server as I now understand ,that it will be using one of these liceinces. That leaves me with three liceinces for four machines that use the net work. Or will the licence work on any of the machines we install this on?

The license lives with the server. The client machines do not need the license. The license tells the server how many clients are allowed to connect simultaneously.
